What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of The Cycloidal Gear Reducer?
Cycloidal gear reducer is a transmission model that adopts the principle of cycloidal pin tooth meshing planetary transmission. It is an ideal transmission device with many advantages, a wide range of uses, and can run forwards and backwards. Cycloidal gear reducers can replace two-stage and three-stage ordinary gear reducers and worm gear reducers in many cases.
Advantages of the cycloidal gear reducer
1. Small size and light weight. The planetary transmission structure is widely adopted, so the structure is compact. Compared with the ordinary gear reducer of the same power, the volume and weight can be reduced by 1/2 to 2/3.
2. The transmission ratio range is large. At present, the single-stage transmission ratio produced in China is i=11~87: the two-stage transmission ratio is i=121~5133; the third-stage transmission ratio can reach i=20339; it can reach higher according to needs.
3. High transmission efficiency. The efficiency of single-stage transmission can reach 0.9~0.97.
4. Running smoothly, no noise, large overload capacity and strong impact resistance. Due to the large number of teeth meshing at the same time, in theory there are two-half of the teeth meshing, so there will be these superior performances.
5. Long service life. Because all contact parts are rolling friction, the service life is long. Compared with ordinary reducers, the service life is 2~3 times longer.

Disadvantages:
1. Main parts such as cycloidal gear, pin tooth pin, pin tooth sleeve, pin and pin sleeve are all made of GCrl5 bearing steel with good material, and some parts require high manufacturing precision and the manufacturing process is complicated.
2. The swing arm bearing is subject to greater force and the speed is slightly higher than the speed of the high-speed shaft, so the swing arm bearing is the weak link of the reducer, which limits the speed and the transmitted power of the high-speed shaft; the speed of the general high-speed shaft is Nh1500~1800 R/min, the current maximum power has exceeded 100 kilowatts.
