What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of The Cvt Gearbox?

Advantages:

1.structure is simple, small volume, small parts, the cost of mass production must be lower than the current cost of ordinary automatic transmission;
2.has a wide working speed ratio range and easily forms an ideal match with the engine, thus improving the combustion process and thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions;
3. has high transmission efficiency, less power loss and high economy.

Disadvantages:

1. Compared to traditional automatic transmission,CVT costs a little more ;
2. The CVT is to use the steel belt or steel chain to drive, the biggest problem is that the steel belt can bear the limited strength, when bearing a large torque, can not break, can not skid, etc., the conditions are relatively harsh, so from this point, the CVT is not very stable and durable.
3.The driving feeling. CVT may be more home, because it drives smooth and comfortable, without a strong sense of acceleration, so there’s no passion to drive. In theory, the CVT is able to fully mobilize the maximum torque of the engine, making the vehicle add and slow down better than the MT and AT transmissions. However, due to the current technical limitations, the actual tuning is relatively conservative.
